Two Britons held the front row of the U18 final: Ricky Collard (ART GP) and Henry Easthope (Sodi) on the outside, followed by Sam Webster (ART GP) and Hubert Anthoine (Formula K), then Marco Maestranzi (PCR) and Benjamin Barnicoat (ART GP), Charles Leclerc (ART GP) and Hubert Petit (Sodi), Nikals Tiihonen (Energy) and Jules Gounon (Sodi).
Collard got away first followed by Easthope and Hubert, who is threatening. Gounon came through the dust and lost a lot of places, down to 24th. Webster took fourth from Leclerc, Barnicoat, Mortensen, Maestranzi and Petit. Easthope already took the lead on the third lap. Leclerc attacked Hubert for third place, the French driver responded by passing Collard. Easthope, the fastest in the race, was 7/10 ahead on lap 4. Leclerc passed for third, making a formation of four ART GP chassis. Easthope pulled away slowly but surely, Leclerc chipped away at the gap on Hubert which dropped under 3/10 in mid-race. Apart from that, the positions remained stable overall.
Hubert gave everything he could to contain Leclerc, he even manages to slightly increase the gap with the Monaco driver on lap 14. Easthope still dominated the race with clockwork regularity, 1.6” in front of his two pursuers. Leclerc was now less than 3/10 ahead. Collard returned to 4th, after a fight between Webster and Barnicoat, Maestranzi advanced to sixth. Leclerc passed Hubert at the beginning of the 23rd lap, Hubert replied, Leclerc returned and kept the second place behind Easthope, the winner of the weekend. Hubert, in third was ahead of Collard, Barnicoat, Webster, sixth, Maestranzi seventh, Mawson 8th, Mortensen 9th and Antonov 10th.
